Dag 1
Long Melford with its many antique shops, tea rooms and country houses such as Kentwell hall and Melford Hall. Both country houses are open to the public.
Dag 2
Walk in and around Lavenham, with a visit to the old guildhall, which is owned by National trust. This is one of the most beautifully preserved medieval villages in England.
Dag 3
Bury St Edmund with its Abbey gardens, cathedral, city walks, museums, but also a variety of shops. There is a lively market on Saturdays.
Dag 4
Day trip to Cambridge. Along the way you will pass Newmarket where everything is about horses.
Dag 5
Explore Hartest and the surrounding area. Walk across the cornfields or head for Hawkedon on foot or by car.
Day trip to Sudbury, walk along the River Stour, visit the museum of painter Gainsborough who has put this environment on canvas.
Dagje Sudbury, wandel langs de rivier de Stour, bezoek het museum van schilder Gainsborough die deze omgeving op doek heeft gezet.
Een dagje Londen is ook zeker de moeite waard en wil je een groot kasteel zien ga dan naar Framlingham. Voor een schitterende kathedraal is Ely aan te raden. waarbij dan ook nog het woonhuis van Cromwell te bezichtigen is. . De zee (Southwold bv) is ook niet ver weg en met mooi weer zeker aan te bevelen.
